Will Primpins damage my bedding or upholstery?

When used properly, Primpins should not damage your bedding or upholstery. Since they are pin fasteners, you will be poking a "hole" into the fabric. However, this hole is usually temporary, since the fabric fibers are typically pushed aside instead of torn when the pin is inserted. The hole usually disappears after your cover is washed. Once the Primpins are installed, do not pull or tug on them. Any pin fastener, including safety pins, can rip fabric if they are pulled forcefully.

I already have corner ties. Why do I need Primpins?

If you already have ties on your comforter, and/or duvet cover, lucky you (or good for you if you've sewn them yourself!). Not all comforters or covers do. In order to use these, you need ties on both your comforter AND cover, so you can tie the corners together. Some people have success with corner ties, but many people find them to be a hassle. Primpins are much easier deal with, they are placed on the outside of your cover and take seconds to install. Additionally, some people like to use Primpins as decorative accents, even if they don't actually need duvet fasteners.
